COIL@UArctic Partners

Discover how to find a COIL Partner for your COIL project, or get in touch with other educators to discuss potential collaboration on COIL projects.

About COIL partners

COIL Partners are two or more tutors/lecturers, each leads a group of students from their institution (from different countries and/or cultures), who partner to create a COIL project brief for their students to collaboratively work on it online. Partners, and consequently the student cohorts, can be from different disciplines, as long as they can create a coherent and useful COIL project for their students. COIL partners work together online during all stages of the project.

Global COIL networks

Our COIL@UArctic network can facilitate connection with members of the Thematic Network, and also other universities and organisations members of UArctic.

The original COIL network, connecting universities worldwide. There is a fee to join, but it will provide a wealth of resources and connections.

A comprehensive directory of all the institutions (including UArctic) that have an established COIL programme. In addition to the list of organisations, you can also find any open COIL calls for partnerships.

IVEC is the largest and most prominent event on virtual exchange, providing a forum for an audience of instructors, administrators, instructional designers, and educational leaders from institutions around the world interested in technology, international education, and new pedagogies.

Global virtual exchange initiative targeting International Business, Management, Marketing or related courses at MBA, EMBA, or undergraduate level, to work on real-life business problems posed by real organisations. Tutors will need to apply for published projects and there is a small administration fee involved. The projects can be embedded into an existing module or as an external activity, and in addition to the university's assessment it will be assessed by an external panel of experts to determine the winning team.
