Project Summary
In this assignment students explored how interpretation is used for managing marine wildlife tourism in different countries, based on a comparative case study of two different settings: National Nature Reserve in Scotland with a commercial wildlife watching operator in Iceland.
Together with their international colleagues, the students looked at interpretation tools for sustainable visitor management, employed by the different tourism organisations and evaluated how they contribute to visitor experience and environmental protection of each setting. The students then drew conclusions and recommendations for both sites based of this comparison, and submitted a pre-recorded presentation.
