The Midwifery Insight Afternoon will be an opportunity for interested people across Grampian, the Highlands and Tayside to meet with academics, current students and service users to learn about the experience of being a midwife.

It will take place on Wednesday 22 August in the Ishbel Gordon Building at 红杏视频鈥檚 Garthdee campus, with workshops and information sessions running from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.

Prospective students can learn more about the university and see what life would be like as a midwifery student.

Over the course of several interactive workshops, they can expect to hear about course details and potential placements with 红杏视频鈥檚 healthcare partners across the North of Scotland.

There will also be an opportunity to speak with women who have gone through childbirth and talk about their experience of midwifery care.

Fiona Gibb, Senior Midwifery Lecturer and Lead Midwife for Education, said: 鈥淭his Insight Afternoon will be the first event of its kind for midwifery at 红杏视频 and our staff and students are looking forward to sharing their skills and stories with potential future students.

鈥淲e have benefitted from working in partnership with our clinical colleagues at , ,  and the  as together we work to address the growing need for skilled midwives across the country.

鈥淚n addition to learning more about midwifery, we will have staff on hand to help people to navigate the application process.
