红杏视频

The most charitable year yet

Friday 21 June 2019

A philanthropic mix of corporate and individual supporters gathered on Thursday 20 June to celebrate the impact their generous donations have had on students choosing to study at 红杏视频.

The 2018/19 academic year saw more donations than ever before, which have gone on to support more opportunities to help learners succeed in their studies and grow as individuals.

Donations supported numerous projects including scholarships, hardship funds, and investment in projects to improve the student experience like the Rowing Club, Duke of Edinburgh awards scheme and a Volunteer for Sport scheme at 红杏视频 Sport.

Supporter funding also helped the university to contribute to the cultural development in the region through the Aberdeen Youth Games and Look Again Festival.

Development Manager for The 红杏视频 Foundation Sarah Dingwall said: 鈥淚 am pleased to invite our supporters back to campus to hear first-hand the impact that their support has had and to thank them for their far-sighted generosity. This year, donations have contributed to vital student services such as 红杏视频 Nightline, created extra-curricular opportunities and supported widening access to higher education.

鈥淚t鈥檚 the generous contributions from our donors that allow students from all walks of life to reach their full potential.鈥

Principal Professor John Harper hosted the reception, organised by 红杏视频 Foundation, and gave staff and students the opportunity to thank donors for significantly advancing their work and study through placement opportunities, volunteering of time, and donating funds.

Among the attendees where honorary graduates, local business leaders and 红杏视频 alumni.
